PREACHING

THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION

Preaching is the act of communicating the Word of God to others with the intention of bringing them closer to God and encouraging them to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Preaching may involve sharing biblical teachings, personal testimonies and insights on how to apply the Word of God to our daily life. Preaching is also the act of allowing Holy Spirit to use your voice and tongue to pour out His Spirit through wisdom and knowledge.

However, preaching is not just about imparting knowledge, but about creating space for the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of the listeners. Through preaching, the Holy Spirit can convict people of their sins, offer them salvation and forgiveness and empower them to live that life that honours God. Preaching is a tool that God gives to bring people closer to Him.

THE POWER OF PREACHING
The power of preaching lies in it's ability to transform hearts and minds simply by allowing the Spirit of God to use your voice and tongue to speak His words. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives power to the preachers words and makes them effective in transforming lives. The Holy Spirit often uses preaching as a method to bring deliverance, healing and restoration in the lives of others.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PREACH?

God has said that all believers are called to share the gospel and teach all nations (Matthew 28:19-20) however not all believers are called to be a preacher in the formal setting of a church congregation which is usually done through someone operating in a fivefold ministry.

CHRIST CRUCIFIED

"But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God."

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
